Interest that has accumulated but has not been paid or added to principal.

Daily and monthly interest

The reported daily amount is converted to an average month using 365 ÷ 12. It is not a live servicer feed.

How the estimate works: Payments reach accrued interest before principal. Future borrowing starts on its entered date; scholarships reduce only matching future borrowing. Unpaid in-school interest is not silently compounded. Capitalization is an explicit assumption, and repayment amortization is separate. Amount paid is not the same as interest avoided. This is aggregate education, not financial advice or a servicer-exact bill.
